They're ... One parallel is that I have two sons. They're grown up. Probably writing reveals an understanding of how it is? Just lost four chapters-my fault-should have backed or duplicated, as my son has told me. I'll now re-write and develop the memory of those chapters. Three quarters through first draft and now intend to write through to completion. I find a sense of security with a first draft, which rapidly dissipates when you realize there's plenty of over- writing and not enough action. All the best with your latest novel.
